FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Cal State Bakersfield Track and Field athlete Makiah Parker has qualified for the NCAA West Regionals 100-meter dash first round.  

Parker was in heat 3 of the first round, in which the number 4 sprinter in the country Dajaz Defrand (USC) was in. She finished heat 3 with a time of 11.40, giving her a qualification spot into the quarterfinals. 

Parker is coming off of earning Big West Track Athlete of the Meet, where she got gold in the 100-meter dash, earning her a spot in the NCAA West Regionals.  

Her next race is scheduled for Saturday at 4:35 PM in the 100-meter dash quarterfinals with a shot to qualify for Eugene at the NCAA Championships.
