Starting Saturday, April 10 the CSU Bakersfield Mass Vaccination Hub will begin offering the one-shot Johnson & Johnson/Janssen COVID-19 vaccine to people 18 and older.

The hub’s hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and are open seven days a week. The vaccines are free of charge and all Kern County residents 16 and older are welcome.

Vaccines are for individuals who have not been vaccinated against the virus. Those interested should make an appointment to visit the hub located in the Student Rec Center building on the CSUB campus by visiting MyTurn.ca.gov.

“Becoming vaccinated is the best way to ensure our safety and the safety of those we love as we move our community forward,” Jennifer Self, university public information officer, wrote in an email to the campus community.
