Sen. Bernie Sanders will be hosting a town hall meeting Thursday Oct. 3, 2019 at 4 p.m. on the CSU Bakersfield Administration Quad south of Dore Theater. Doors will be opening at 2:30 p.m.

Sanders is campaigning for the 2020 Democratic Party nomination and has included Bakersfield as a stop on his campaign trail.  This is not a CSUB event; CSUB is acting strictly as a venue for the town hall meeting.

According to the press release sent by Jennifer Self this event will be open to the public. The last event Sanders made in Bakersfield was during the 2016 primary campaign and drew an estimated crowd of 3,000 people to the Kern County Fair Grounds.

Parking will be limited.
