On October 4, 2023, school officials unveiled a brand new area designated for personal health and stress relief; The Wellness Suite.

Located on the upper floors of the Student Recreation Center where the former FitLab used to be, the suite is intended to help students escape from the monotony of college life and allow them to relax in an area dedicated to their designated needs.
The University received $150,000 to help students mitigate any feelings of stress that come from the daily life of being a college student.
“The Wellness community received [this] grant from the chancellor’s office to put towards our annual wellness fair, create marketing campaigns for students’ well-being, and offer an education workshop,” said Leah Bank, the coordinator for Fitness and Wellness.
The Wellness Suite features a self-guided meditation corner, a quiet reflection area, a quiet corner, as well as nap pods, massage chairs, study spaces, craft tables, and art supplies for anyone who’s feeling creative.
