Toni DeRosa, Staff Writer, Entertainment Editor, Managing Editor, 2003-2005

Some of my favorite times were on The Runner. After that, I was employed by Reed Print, Inc. from 2005 to 2006 as part-time editor for the Wasco Tribune and from 2006 to 2013 as part-time editor for The Arvin Tiller and Lamont Reporter. I left for some years and returned to The Arvin Tiller and Lamont Reporter until they closed their doors in December 2017.

I was hired by Shafter Publishing LLC in March of 2018 and am the full-time editor of the Wasco Tribune. I am currently taking a refresher journalism course at BC, which is amazing re-learning the basics that can be forgotten along the way.

Working for Shafter Publishing is an awesome experience. Mike Schroeder, our publisher/owner from Connecticut, and owner Stan Wilson from Shafter are both wonderful to work for. I’ve been able to learn so much from them. It’s a great job that I love.
