The joy of being single, it’s fabulous to a point and of course it has its perks. One being no distractions during college and the freedom to do whatever is on your mind.
After a career is set with a steady income, next to figure out is the love life.
Some young adults are already married with kids and some are more career focused. While others have the joy of both luxuries.
The reality television series “Married at First Sight” takes an interesting step into social experiments.
Imagine getting dressed up in a beautiful white dress or black tux walking down the aisle sweating uncontrollably ready to get married. But the catch is you’d be marrying a total stranger.
Let’s be honest, finding that special someone can be a challenge. Especially if you have high standards.
A panel of three psychologist match six individuals from several hundred applicants matching them into three couples. After their wedding they go on a honeymoon and then move in together with each other for six weeks.
After the experiment ends the couples have a choice whether to stay together or divorce. This experiment is very cool but personally I wouldn’t complete an application for this series.
It takes trust and compromise just like a normal relationship but how can you trust someone you just met?
Love is one of those feelings that make life wonderful. I do believe there is someone out there for everyone but with 7 billion people in the world it can be a challenge to find your significant other.
What I like about “Married at First Sight” is they don’t only match individuals because they are similar but they match based on their differences as well. This allows for each individual to balance each other out.
I think a lot of single people start to think about relationships during the month of February because of Valentines.
Valentine’s Day isn’t just for couples, it’s about love and can easily be celebrated with friends or family who you love.
Love shouldn’t be rushed to the point you have to be on a reality television show to find someone to marry you.
Personally I love meeting new people traditionally, well with a little Disney spin running into them spontaneously and then making eye contact with them all the sudden.
But times are changing, online dating is become a trend with young adults meeting their significant other through dating apps such as Tinder and OkCupid, so being married at first sight isn’t quite so risky if people are willing to meet a stranger they met online.
One of the best ways to meet people is to live your life to the fullest. Travel, join a club or organization, and go to events. Eventually love will come even though that sounds a little cliché.
“Married at First Sight” airs every Tuesday nights at 9/8 central on A&E.
