Antelope Valley College closes campuses due to threats of violence

Antelope Valley College has closed all of its locations, including CSU Bakersfield and have canceled all the day classes for Tuesday, Dec. 1  due to threats of violence against the college.

The closure by Antelope Valley was posted on its website this morning at 8:48 a.m.

Antelope Valley is in contact with law enforcement. They have sent a warning to CSUB students through phone call and text message which was issued by CSUB’s Chief of Police Marty Williamson.

Antelope Valley College classes are set to resume tonight at 6 p.m. All offices and classes are scheduled for regular business hours tomorrow.
According to, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department completed a sweep of the campus and are continuing to investigate the threats.
