Antelope Valley College has closed all of its locations, including CSU Bakersfield and have canceled all the day classes for Tuesday, Dec. 1 due to threats of violence against the college.
The closure by Antelope Valley was posted on its website this morning at 8:48 a.m.
Antelope Valley is in contact with law enforcement. They have sent a warning to CSUB students through phone call and text message which was issued by CSUB’s Chief of Police Marty Williamson.
Antelope Valley College classes are set to resume tonight at 6 p.m. All offices and classes are scheduled for regular business hours tomorrow.
According to www.avc.edu, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department completed a sweep of the campus and are continuing to investigate the threats.
