While CSUB’s academics have taken a break for the summer, the athletic department is still active, making preparations for their full entrance into the Western Athletic Conference. The first of the schedules to be released this summer is that of women’s soccer, who finished 6-11-2 (Wins-Losses-Draws).
The schedule favors the ‘Runners’ strength, which is playing at home. The ‘Runners will play 11 home games this season, hosting familiar teams such as Southern Utah, Cal Poly and Northern Arizona. The ‘Runners finished last season with home record of 3-4-1. The road was less kind to the ‘Runners, as their record was 2-6-1.
The ‘Runners “kick off” their season on Saturday, August 17 with an exhibition match at the Main Soccer Field at 7 p.m.
