Become a Marketing and Sales Representative

All of the Runner Student Media Center operations are self-funded through advertising. Marketing and sales representatives develop client relationships on and off campus, create needs assessments, and design customized advertising opportunities. In this way, you not only sell ads, but also forge important partnerships with local businesses and community supporters. The hours are flexible and you work at your own pace. It’s great experience for students interested in communications, public relations, business and marketing careers.

Get Paid!

All business team members who meet their quarterly sales goal receive 10 percent commission on all sales. This is a great way to make some extra cash while gaining valuable experience for your resume.

Get Class Credit!

Registering for the course is not required to work on the business team. But elective credits are a nice perk. Sign up for COMM 214/414: Newspaper Production, 2 units, 12:45-2:50 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
