The Campus Gamers’ club is hosting their End of Year celebration. This event will be at the Student union where they will be having tons of different games to play. The event will be on Friday June 6, 2014.
The event will have many different gaming systems, such as Playstation three and four, Xbox 360 and Xbox1, Nintendo Wii, and other past and present gaming consoles. There will also be card games, such as Yugiho, and board games. This event will just be for students at Cal State Bakersfield to enjoy some gaming with fellow students before the school year ends.
“This event is fun for everyone because it will give us a time to spend with friends before the quarter ends and before finals,” said Jay Kim, a biology student at CSUB
This event comes a week before finals week on campus and it will act as a stress reliever for some students who might be stressing out over exams. The event will also include people to donate money towards Campus Gamers Extra Life fundraiser. Extra Life is a national organization that helps children with health problems. Their goal is to raise money from gamers across the world.
The club is intending this gathering to be a celebration of the school year for both the club and the school. It is a event will bring social experiences for students through video games, which is what a lot of students do.
People like the Campus Gamers because it’s a club that can be associated to most students because most students like playing video games.
“I spend way too much time playing videos, when I should be studying,” said Chunrun UI, a sophomore student at CSUB.
Playing video games has become one of the many ways for college students to relief stress from schoolwork. It gives people a chance to meet new friends, with most games being able to play online. Some of the latest popular games are Call of Duty, Madden, FIFA, Watch Dogs, and Halo. These games and more will be available to play at the Campus Gamers End of Year celebration. So get your gamer on.
