Next year’s Associated Students Inc. board has been decided by you, the students, but it isn’t over just yet.
For President, Derek Stotler was elected with 53.32 percent of votes.
Next year’s ASI President Derek Stotler said, “Hello CSUB Students, thank you for electing me as your ASI President. I look forward to working with you and establishing more social events is my top priority. Look out for an amazing year and I will see you on campus!”
For Executive Vice President, Mike Kwon, was elected with 53.10 percent of votes. For Vice President of External Affairs, Ricardo Perez was elected with 58.39 percent of votes. For Vice President of Programming, Stephanie Campos was elected with 64.87 percent of votes.
Stephanie Campos said, “Firstly I want to thank you for your support. I will continue to push for changes on our campus and continue representing you by voicing your issues and pushing for those events you want us to bring to our campus. I am honored that you have chosen me as your next Vice President of Programming and Publicity.”
For Vice President of Finance a tie occurred between Gessel Romo with 30.75 percent and Neel Singh with 42.89 percent of votes.
The ASI election manual dictates that a candidate must obtain a 50 percent plus one vote to win or a run off will occur. There will be a run-off election for Vice President of Finance between Romo and Singh.
The run-off will take place this Wednesday from 9 a.m. and Thursday to 9 p.m.
