1) On Wednesday, May 14, CSUB distinguished speaker series will be hosting J. Patrick Doyle, Domino’s Pizza CEO. The distinguished speaker series brings individuals whose achievements have had national or international success. The event starts at 6 p.m.
2) On Friday, May 16, the Gender Matters Conference will take place in the Stockdale Room and feature research projects regarding gender by CSUB students.
3) Ding! Ding! Ding! The Ethics Bowl is on Saturday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will consist of teams forming reasoned answers to ethical dilemmas.
4) Saturday May 17 to May 24 is Greek Week House Building and we will begin seeing beautiful structures in Runner Park built by our very own students. Don’t get too attached, they’ll only be there a week.
5) On Monday, May 19, the CSUB dance team will be holding auditions for their 2015 season. Auditions will be in the Student Recreation Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Go and audition!
6) Come out and watch “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” on Wednesday, May 21 in the Multi-Purpose Room in the Student Union. Hosted by the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) Inspire Program, following the movie there will be a panel discussion on issues involving depression, gender identity and social relationships in hopes of raising awareness to students.
7) Enjoy coffee and jazz at the annual Jazz Coffee House on May 24, 2014. The event will feature compositions by CSUB students and will be held in the music building. Tickets are free with student I.D.
8) The annual craft beer festival will be on Saturday, May 24 at the CSUB ampitheatre. The event will feature local food vendors and local musicians. Remember, you don’t have to be 21 to attend!
