Shelby Parker is the current Features Editor of The Runner. She began as a staff writer who covered features stories and then moved on to assist the Features Editor preceding her before taking on the role herself. Shelby had always thought she would take the singing and acting route before she discovered her passion for journalism. One of her favorite memories is when Colin Farrell and Tom Hanks sang “Happy Birthday” to her while on their way to the Golden Globes. She is an interning staff writer for the entertainment site PopWrapped.com, has met many celebrities over the years, and includes interviewing Gavin DeGraw as one of the highlights of her career thus far. Shelby’s dream is to move to Nashville, cover country music and interview her role model, Taylor Swift.
