Start celebrating the Cinco de Mayo weekend this Friday, May 2, with good music and food at Bakersfield’s On The Rocks Bar and Grill.
Kansas City based band, Making Movies, will be playing a show. According to their website, “Their music blends Afro-Cuban music, Afro-Peruvian music, Reggae en Español, Colombian Cumbia and indie-rock textures with lyrics in both English and Spanish.”
The band consists of four members: Enrique Chi (guitar/vocals), Juan-Carlos Chaurand (percussion/keyboard), Brendan Culp (drums) and Diego Chi (bass).
Velorio will also be playing.
Doors open at 9 p.m. The event is 21 and over.
