Athena is the current Editor-in-Chief for The Runner. Beginning as a staff writer who covered news, features and opinion stories she moved to an editor position and managed the Features Section. She has experience in public relations and advertising. She is also a founder and the president of the Journalism Club (J Club) at CSUB. She is a communications major with a passion for fitness, video games, comics and cats. Outside of The Runner, she is a competitive athlete in National Physique Committee shows and a credentialed fitness nutrition specialist who is also working toward becoming a certified personal trainer.
