I had a chance to talk to Ashton Smith about her scene “Susannah” by Carlisle Floyd in “An Evening of Opera Scenes” on Jan. 31, 2014 in the Doré Theatre at California State University, Bakersfield and catch up with CSUB Opera Program Director Dr. Chang after her directing her first “An Evening of Opera Scenes” event at CSUB.
