On the afternoon of March 17, CSU Bakersfield, by directive from the Chancellor’s Office, has been postponed. 

  CSUB is not the only campus to have moved back their spring 2020 commencement. Fresno State has postponed their ceremonies as well. The cancellations are an attempt to curb the spread of COVID-19. 

  Jennifer Self, CSUB’s Directory of Public Affairs, has confirmed that a Spring 2020 commencement will not be happening during the spring semester. 

  “No date has been identified as the new date for the ceremony,” Self wrote in an email.
