Three arrested during attempts of grand theft auto on campus

Reports of suspicious activity on the CSU Bakersfield campus led to the arrest of three unnamed adults. The University Police Department arrested three individuals on Monday, Oct. 21 after witnesses alerted officers of unusual activities in parking lots B, C, and D. The individuals were arrested by UPD based on the allegation that they were conspiring to commit grand theft auto. The three individuals have been taken into custody and transferred to the Downtown Jail in Bakersfield. Three vehicles were damaged during the attempted thefts. The owners of those cars have been notified. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be posted as they become available.
