Campus Programming hosts an horchata booth for students during Welcome Week to keep them hydrated
This semester CSUB is making every effort to welcome new students, while at the same time helping new and existing students feel a sense of belonging here on campus
“Everything that we do, you know we do for our students, we are here because of our students, they are the reason why any of us on campus are here.”
Welcome week activities also included rowdy run, taco tuesday, and wellness wednesday. and students said they appreciated the activities.
“Last year when i was a freshman and i saw the welcome week station and i saw everyone trying to participate and it helped a lot.”
Campus programming also used horchata happy hour to promote hispanic heritage month with upcoming events like latin dance lessons every monday on the month of september.
“These events help students feel like they belong on campus and like they have a support system, and they have people who care about them.”
To participate in any of the events for hispanic heritage month you can pick up a flyer in the campus programming office or go to csub.edu/campus programming.
