Shouting, screaming, cat-fights, and chaos make for excellent TV ratings for Oxygen’s most talked about and number one television show, “Bad Girls Club.”
From the creators of “The Real World” on MTV, the “Bad Girls Club” focuses on seven wild, promiscuous women whose ages range from 21 to 27 years old. These seven women are brought together from all over the country to live under one roof in a beautiful mansion for three months. These self- proclaimed “bad girls” have various behavioral, personal, and psychological problems. While living together in this luxurious mansion, free alcohol is provided along with continuous nights of partying and sex with random men and women. When we are first introduced to the seven girls, everyone seems to get along pretty well, but that doesn’t last for long. They are of course “Bad Girls.”
“Bad Girls Club” aired its first season in December of 2006. The goal of “Bad Girls Club” is to get these women to transform their vicious behavior and turn their lives into something positive so that they can be role models for young girls. The creator “Bad Girls Club,” Jonathan Murray, says: “With all the reality shows that we have produced, there has been a never-ending fascination with the bad girls in each cast. The audience loves them and loves to hate them. We thought it would be perfect to devote an entire series to them, to see how they interact with each other and if it’s really possible for them to change their ways.”
“Bad Girls Club” has filmed in some of the United States’ most popular and exciting cities, such as Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas and New Orleans. The show has also been filmed out of the country in Mexico. “Bad Girls Club” is now turning up the heat and taking it to new level. They are filming its 10th season in one of the hottest cities in the South: Atlanta, Georgia. The season began airing on Jan. 15.
According to Anita Gates, a critic of “Bad Girls Club,” “The show looks like something that should be marketed to the fans of those ‘Girls Gone Wild’ videos.”
Despite the people who hate “Bad Girls Club,” I absolutely enjoy it. I tune in every Tuesday night with my Coke and popcorn to watch the craziness that is going to unravel.
The first episode of season 10 kicks off with a throw-down. Janae, a bad girl from Houston, Texas, who can not manage her emotions while drinking alcohol, annoys the other girls and they are sick of her acting like a “drunken whore” in public. So when they return to their mansion from their first night of partying at a local club, all hell breaks loose.
According to Murray, he thinks that it is “fun to watch people who aren’t afraid to live their lives sort of loudly. I think most of us constrain ourselves to follow what society dictates but these women are unapologetically themselves.”
You can watch Bad Girls Club on Oxygen Network on Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. I love this show simply because it’s very entertaining and these women are living their life to the fullest. These “bad girls” make no excuses for who they are. If you like drama, chaos, cat-fights and drunken girls, this is definitely the TV show you should watch.
Tune in, you will not be disappointed.
