On Friday May 6, a CSU Bakersfield student in the Walter W. Stiern Library was sexually assaulted.
University Police was not ready to release any type of information as to what happened because the assault is still under investigation.
According to Marvin Pop, 22, a man who was stopped by police officers, University Police told him someone had been sexually assaulted in the library between the hours of 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“They stopped me because I fit the description,” said Pop, who was there visiting his girlfriend. “I was coming out of the elevator.”
Pop added the officers told him the suspect was posing as a chiropractor.
“I felt shocked I was stopped because I knew I hadn’t done anything wrong,” said Pop.
