A tentative agreement was reached between the university administration and faculty union on a reopened contract.
According to a California Faculty Association press release, the proposed five-day faculty strike, which was slated to start Wednesday, April 13, will now be postponed as they wait approval and ratification of the agreement made by the CFA board of directors and its membership.
Once it is approved by the CFA membership, the tentative agreement will be voted on by the CSU Board of Trustees at its meeting from May 24-25.
California State University and CFA leaders will hold a joint news conference call for news media tomorrow at 10 a.m. to announce the tentative agreement.
